Order of the Phoenix
So I just saw Harry Potter 5.
It looked good. Really good.
But the story was shite. Structure was all over the place... the only forward momentum seemingly came from a checklist that the filmmakers had to rush through in order to reach an (I'll admit) exciting conclusion. Plot threads dangled, plot holes gaped, and whole characters were reduced to cardboard cutouts brimming with potential.
But it looked good. Directing wise, Yates made some good shot choices. Too bad he didn't make good story choices. Or CGI choices. Or dialogue...
